Situated on the green edge of Haslemere, this new family house – designed by Featherstone Young – makes the most of its hillside position and the beauty of the natural surroundings. From this vantage point, the main living spaces look out over the valley below and the rolling woodlands, offering a semi-rural feel.

Lorna Richards and Paul Shotbolt moved here from North London, finding a small house that they eventually decided to replace with a new family home, shared with sons Finn and Theo. The family wanted a truly modern home, with fluid living spaces, and a strong sense of connection with the gardens and the southern vista across the treescape.
