Despite its modest footprint, interior designer Alison Papworth’s home punches above its weight thanks to a careful remodelling and sophisticated schemes. Alison’s signature style of neutral tones, textured fabrics and elegant symmetrical arrangements runs throughout the property, creating a feeling of calm and providing a much-needed haven she can return to after a busy day. ‘This house is perfectly situated for my work because we are right in the middle of the Chelsea Design Quarter, which encompasses Chelsea Harbour, the King’s Road and Lots Road,’ she admits. ‘But when I close the door, I leave that hustle and bustle behind.’
