Downsizing from a large house to a petite villa required some careful planning but Claire and Ron Davis have pulled it off with aplomb. Ron, who originally trained as an architect, meticulously planned the renovation, which has given the home a newfound sense of space. To the clean, pared-back architecture, the couple have added glamorous touches, including eye-catching mirrors, metallic fabrics and fabulous statement lights. ‘I think that working as a fashion buyer definitely taught me to understand the importance of detail,’ says Claire, who adds, ‘We really don’t miss the extra space we used to have – we have managed to tailor this home to suit all our needs.’
