The decision to demolish their house and start from scratch enabled Clare and Richard Jackson to create a home that is the perfect fit for their family’s lifestyle. While its traditional brick façade nods to the local Arts & Crafts vernacular, the rear of the new house reveals a more contemporary approach: huge glazed doors span the ground floor and pull light into the living spaces, opening the interiors up to a deep terrace overlooking an expanse of astro turfed lawn. Working with interior designer Nicole Haig, the couple have created a home that is entirely tailored to their tastes, allowing striking pieces of art to take centre stage in elegant spaces that are still practical for a young family.
